Fuel Up For Spring With Diesel

So I swung over to diesel.com and was pleasantly surprised at their Spring collection. Unfortunately I was more impressed with the Men's collection than the Women's collection. Oh well, I guess the guys deserve a chance to get fly too. Out of all these pieces my two favs are the V-neck tee with the preppy sweater print and the bomber jacket with black leather sleeves. But I love the cardigans too! Guys go check out all the goodness for yourself...you won't be disappointed.

Will The Madness Ever End?

Now I speak for millions when I say that reality tv is secretly planning on taking over the world...one terrible show at a time. Next up to add to the list of ignorance is VH1's For The Love of Ray-J. I wasn't aware of the show until I was emailed about it, along with the picture above, from my good friend Sanielle. R&B artist Ray-J decides to join Flavor Flav, New York, Tila Tequila, Real & Chance, and a few more people in finding love on national television. Oh, how original! Take a look at a few of the girls competing for his heart.

She's Backkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk!

I'm too excited! My fairy God-Mother is coming back to the Style Network for another season of Life in the Fab Lane. I'm not sure if it's a full season because they keep saying 3-part special, but whatever it is just know that I'll be tuned in. The first show airs February 8th. AND...in case you didn't know yet, Momma Lee is PREGGERS! Yes yall, she's pregnant by her new boo Djimon Hounsou. C Nic, Shae, and I were discussing how the new baby will be the odd ball, because Ming and Aoki have the same daddy and they might treat the new baby like the bald headed step child. But let's hope for the best and pray that Kimora's jenes are stronger than Djimon's. What?!? You were thinking it too.

Badu Tip??!

I always love to see celebs in a fresh pair of sneaks! Here we have the always eccentric Q-Tip in a pair of metallic gold/white Supra Muska Skytops. This pic was featured in a spread in Trace magazine (BTW they both graced the cover of this issue!). In the magazine, they revealed that they are really good friends. The two are collaborating on songs that I'm sure are gonna be FIYAH!!! Badu said that she was inspired by ATCQ and Q-Tip as a solo artist!! In other ATCQ news (A Tribe called Quest for those that are like "WTF"..lol), Air Jordan has over the past week released an Air Jordan 1 in a PERFECT colorway to represent the group! These "J's" are part of the Jordan World Influencer pack. They feature a red/black/green colorway accented with a strap up top to keep you tight!..lol. Theres really no wrong way to wear these, kinda like a Reese cup huh? Well that's all from me for the day, make sure you come back hea!!..lol -$YD K3MP

Fellas...Think Pink!!

Whats up yall, its Syd again witht the mixin' and matchin'! This time I paired the "The Dopest Puma First Rounds ever!" with a few other hot items! These Pumas are the Puma First Round Yo MTV Raps edition! Now I don't know about you, but these rank amongst the most unique shoes that I've ever seen. The yellow laces send these babies str8 to the moon!!! Next up is a "so retro" nylon jacket by Hot Air, which can be picked up here. The jacket will run you a smooth $115, which is about $90 too much...lol, and being that the sneaks are sold out pretty much everywhere, it'll be no point in buying it..lol. Last up is the A.IN.T slick tee in a heather grey colorway! The shirt can be found at my new favorite site (besides LivLuxMag of course!!) http://www.supralondon.com. "Here Comes The Bride..."

All Hail Chanel!! & everything fashion that comes along. That includes Lagerfeld's Spring 2009 Couture collection, which gives me "Wedding Day" tea with all white coming down the runway, with a hint of black every now and then (for the sinners, lol). But in all seriousness, the collection might look dull from a distance, but when you get into the different pieces you will see the awesome detail but into each piece - like every other Chanel piece. You have the simple A-line cuts and cropped jackets that meet with the classic Chanel braid of handwoven fluff and embroidered flowers modernized in 3-D montages of organza and cellophane. Not to mention lace covered with tiny crystalline beads. Maybe it's just talk to you so I'll let you see for yourself.

Another thing that made the collection that much more better than the next was the headwear that the models had on for the show; constructs of paper roses, camellias, leaf fronds, and feathers that were made by Japanese hairdresser, Kamo. Jungle Theft!

So one of my favorite shows, Lipstick Jungle, has some not so honest people on it's staff. The stage manager of the show, Arthur Moreira, was accused of stealing designer items from the shows closet and selling them on ebay! Tisk Tisk. The ladies on the show are always decked out in the latest and greatest and I guess Arthur said on top of his already fabulous job he wanted to make a few extra bucks off the amazing wardrobe closet(just greedy!). According to the district attorney's office, Arthur was outted when French designer Sylvia Toledano saw some of her items that were lent to the show on ebay.

Arthur! You have some explaining to do!!

Another One Bites The Dust!

Models may look perfect, but here is proof that they are not! Alexandra Tomlinson busted her *bleep* on the couture Chanel runway yesterday. The shoes, as you can see, are a little high (but not that bad). But the runway looks like the worst part, looks like they needed on ice skates rather than platforms. Well to Alex...don't worry, even Naomi fell, and look at her now.

Guys edition. Fellas in this edition we have style icon Kanye West (aka Martin Louis the King Jr.) and Travis McCoy (front man of Gym Class Heroes). Both wearing a Louis Vuitton signature belt ($405 wtf??) and a Dee & Ricky logo heart pin ($65). Now I can't lie, fellas I do have a weakness for J's, but what do you think, do you like it like THIS (Kanye) or like THAT (Travis)?

A report in today's NY post says that rapper Fabolous credit cards are maxed out, and not 1 card but at least 4 wtf??!!! The post states that by the fifth card, a member of the entourage who was designated to take care of the tab goes outside without paying and gets whooped by the bouncer!

Mmm, mmm, mmm, gots 2 be more careful! Times are hard Fab. Maybe if he took the chain and the Marc Jacob sunglasses back he could foot the bill....hey its just a thought...

The Girl Cool Kids

Mr. Collipark luv the kids. He's definitely found his niche and ran with it. He discovered and signed these two 16 year olds called "Vistoso Bosses" who hail from Atlanta, Ga. According to their Myspace "Everything about us is original - our sound, our look, our personality". The part singer part rapper duo recently made a cameo in their label mate's video, Soulja Boy- Kiss Me Through The Phone. Mr Collipark makes sure all the kids get along, lol. I'll have to see them in action to see how much star power they have, but they do have a really cute look (for their intended audience), and their song UYL (ultimate young lady) isn't bad at all. Their buzz is growing slowly but surely so check them out and let me know what you think.

Rick Ross The Repo Man

All good things must come an end, like Rick Ross' relationship with his Baby Mama. On 1/21/09 Rick Ross stole his baby mama's Infiniti q56 from her lawyers office because he is upset that she is filing for child support. Both had to meet up with their lawyers at the same office for their deposition in their child support case. She apparently was trying to figure out how much money Rick Ross makes to determaine how much she is goin to get, and Rick Ross The Boss doesn't answer any of the questions. Ross then excuses himself and makes a call to one of his boys and then comes back in and says that they can finish this at another time. Shortly after the meeting is over, his baby mother leaves to go pick up Lil Rick Ross from school, AND HER CAR IS GONE!! She then goes back in and tells her lawyer that her truck is missing . Her lawyer asks Rick's lawyer did he take the truck and he tells his lawyer, "YES." Rick Ross adds Repo Man to his resume. I think that if you can't work things out with your baby mother or baby father; but they are still taking care things, then it's no reason to file for child support. He isn't obligated to buy her a car, but he did. Thats what happens to greedy people. I think that she is just mad because he cut her off from the funds. What did she expect? She dumped him! Do you think its wrong for him to take the truck?

Crooks & Castles is Hot ish!!

Crooks & Castles has teamed up with vans to create a pretty cool lookin shoe. Okay so the color pattern is an obvious rip off of Gucci but who cares. The shoes are hot but whats even hotter is the dope junk that I found to go with em. Im loving this canvas belt accented with red leather and their logo in gold! And so what the shades are an obvious rip off of my fav eyewear brand Cazal, but who cares...lol. These babies are effin dope!! Last is the winter cap with the "peter cottontail"...lol, on the top. This hat is more than necessary where I'm from!!! I would definitely do this set with a dope red cardigan and some vintage denim!! -$YD K3MP

This Is For You Doni

I know how Doni shops - the look for less. I don't know if she or anyone else has heard the great news, but designer Alexander McQueen has debuted his a line at Target.

You would expect that since the line is at a discount store that the clothes would look sorta shabby but they were far from that. I could barely tell the difference, with the signature clean and sharp lines.

Is Ciara Broke???

So I just happen to be browsing on myspace (I know I know..I shouldn't even be on myspace) and I saw Ciara has a new single so I went to her page and saw this pic. You might be thinking "ok so what it's just a pic"...but no! It's a pic of Ciara with shoes on from Forever21!!! GASP! I knew this right away because I was 2 clicks away from ordering these shoes. Now I know Ciara isn't broke, the title was just to grab your attention, but I do give her (or her stylist) kudos for thinking about the overall look instead of the labels.

Heffa probably got the last pair because they're sold out now, grrrr!

Kid Robot Takes Us To School

I would like to go on the record and say that Kid Robot is really taking no prisoners when it comes to their clothes and accessories line. They do just enough without doing too much. They always come with bright colors and graphic prints that aren't typical of other clothing lines. Well I found these back packs on Nordstroms.com and although they cost a pretty penny to be a bookbag (all over $100) they will definitely be the most stylish thing on campus or walking down the hall.

Color Splash!

Currently, clothes aren't cool unless they're bright enough to see at night and blind the people walking pass you. Well if you want to get into the neon trend, let me give you one word to keep in mind...MO-DER-A-TION. Don't go head to toe neon, do it in moderation and you'll look up to date without looking like you got attack by a box of highlighters. Just a few pops of color here and there should be just fine.
